IF MOD DESIGNED THE MET GALA 2024

Every year the worlds elite flock to the luxuriantly carpetted steps of the MET (The Metropolitan Museum of Arts) for one of fashions most anticipated events; The MET GALA. Today on MOD, we envision what the event would look like if designed by MOD.

This year the Costume Institute’s new theme for the Met Gala 2024 is "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," and the official dress code is "The Nursery of Time." The display will highlight around 250 rare items drawn from the Costume Institute’s permanent collection. Representing a fashion history of over 400 years, the pieces will incorporate designs by Schiaparelli, Dior, Givenchy, and more.

If MOD were* to design the space we envision a combination of luxuriant shades ranging from options of modern jewel tones and innovative textures to soothing blues and clustres of cherry blossoms.

The MOD design team are consistently innovating, imagining and developing hundreds of design options in-house, some of which never see the light of day but all of which are collated in our internal database. Each one inspiring the senses and providing design ideas for future projects.
