Celebrating the compelling power of pink, MOD looks to its New Versailles Wedding. A private and luxurious wedding project for the Lootah family that involved the construction of a palatial structure inspired by the renowned Palace of Versailles. Inside the custom-built ivory structure, the story continues with a ceiling hand-covered in blooming gypsum each flowing outward and blending into the bespoke columns with curved arches. Undulating shades of pink can be found across the event space from the fresh peonies across the coffee tables to the delectable desserts that seem straight out of Marie Antoinette’s royal patisserie. The New Versailles ceiling that echoed waves of pink contained over eight million stems of gypsum, delicately dried and hand-painted to embody the theme of the evening. While the bespoke structure (that sprawled across 17,000 square foot was hand-built at The Lootah’s family property) involved on-site experts, builders, architects and more to create an unforgettable architectural spectacle. The inner portion of the glistening structure also housed hand-assembled crystal chandeliers from Paris, each one reflecting and mirroring speckles of light across the pink interiors in the finest crystal. In the end the versatility of this unique shade of PINK embodied the symbiosis of both Arabian decadence with Parisian sensibilities, which is what truly made this a one-of-a-kind event.
